Welcome back everyone to Tanji for your success and wealth. Have you ever asked yourself, why doesn't anything ever seem to work out for the better? No matter what books you read, no matter whose advice you take, no matter what examples you follow, and no matter what you do, things never seem to get better for you. It's not bad luck that has its grip on you because we create our luck. It's some of the people you have around you that are causing you to fail. In this episode, we're gonna talk about the three types of people that you have to stay as far away from as you can, and why you have to stay away from them. I'll tell you how to identify them, and by doing so, you'll move forward at a faster pace. In conjunction with mastering the three main keys that I talked about in the previous episode, there's three types of people that must be eliminated from your inner circle, otherwise, they will block everything you try to accomplish. Let me start by giving you all the details on who they are and what they are. They're not Halloween costumes. These three types of people are what I collectively call the avoids because you simply have to avoid them, like the plague. They're real, very powerful, and very intelligent people that are also great actors that you must always avoid at all costs. Because their only purpose for existence is to ruin everything around you, and a path of destruction is what they leave behind. You will never succeed at anything if you have any of these three types of people around you influencing your life and within your inner circle. The avoids are masters at disguising themselves, and that's why I said that they're great actors because they blend in and they look like you and me. They practice in front of the mirror to become great actors so that they can get within striking distance and that's when they attack. Let's define each avoid. A virus. A person that is a virus functions in the same way that a real virus does. We're talking about the infectious agent that we commonly know that infects us and causes sickness to our bodies. A person that's a virus goes beyond that because besides infecting you, they infect everything and everyone else around them. Essentially, everything they touch turns to shit. A vampire. The mythical vampire sucks the blood out of people when they're sleeping and kills them. A real life vampire doesn't literally suck blood from you, but they suck the life blood from you and everyone and everything around them by killing your dreams and stomping on your goals. It'll never work out. You can't do it. You're not business savvy. You're wasting your time, is only some of the things they always say. An anchor weighs you down and prevents you from moving forward by latching onto your back and expects you to do everything for them. If something goes wrong, it's always your fault. Anchors are very needy people that always want you to do things for them. A classic example of this type of person is one that constantly gives you convoluted tasks to do for them that are purposely impossible to get done, and they do that so they have a continual source of complaining to you and about you. They are constantly asking you to do things that they could easily do themselves, but don't. Why? Because they need to have someone to complain about. You can't help me, they say if you refuse to help. They take the easy position of ignorance about everything so they can point the finger of fault your way when something goes wrong. They constantly ask you to do things for them that they could easily do for themselves, but never do because they need to have someone to blame when something goes wrong. Do you know why all the relevant information that we read about and learn about is always structured in three parts? Such as in the previous episode where I talked about the three essential keys to master first, and how today I'm going to talk about the three types of people to stay away from. It was the great Greek philosopher Aristotle who discovered that phrases of three is the best way we react and remember things. So why is that so important to understand? You might be asking. It's because many times in life there's always simpler answers to seemingly complicated questions, such as the question I posed to you in the intro of this episode. But we always tend to overcomplicate the answers, and so we give up before we even try to understand what exactly is causing our failures at attaining success and wealth. And sure enough, here's another example of the rule of three. The answer to the conundrum of why failure seems to always follow is best understood by analyzing the three types of people that cause obstruction to our pathway to success and wealth. One of these misunderstandings is not knowing the importance of surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals and not knowing the seriousness of not removing those toxic people from your inner circle that are destroying you intellectually. The avoids are great actors and are therefore very difficult to identify up front. They have the wherewithal to do this because they practice in front of a mirror to perfect their cunning, sneaky, and wily ways so they can strike. And this is why the avoids have a high rate of success with their poison and toxicity because most people go all in without the proper vetting that is necessary to avert the misery, chaos, and failure that the avoids bring to everyone's life that lets them into their inner circle without clearing them as a virus, a vampire, or an anchor. The avoids are also champions at the art of arguments. They have a way of making you feel that it's your fault every time and all the time, and will have you always apologizing to them even though they started the conflict with you and towards you. Look carefully. They're always there lurking nearby you and maybe already infecting you. Preventing them from infecting you comes down to one of the most basic survival skills that is necessary in life, and that is being able to distinguish friend from foe and safety from danger. Being able to profile the avoids is what's going to keep you on your path to success and wealth. If they're in your life, you have to remove them. If you see them coming, you have to block them. The only success that the avoids understand and cherish is when they're successful at attacking everyone that lets them into their inner circle. Another question that I get asked a lot is why people are like this. The answer to this is very simple. It's not our job to understand why they're like this, because you can't change people. You can only be the example for others to follow if they choose to. If you try to change any of the avoids, you will waste many precious years of your life and will have accomplished absolutely nothing. For the avoids, attacking the people around them is normal. They believe it's the only way they can survive. Therapists don't try to change people. They try and enlighten people so that they change within themselves so they can see how to live better and more successful and wealthy lives. Why the avoids are like they are had always provoked deep introspect until I realized they don't want to change their wicked ways because it gives them a sense of accomplishment when they're attacking the people around them. And I believe it comes from a lack of self-confidence, and the avoids have to continue their onslaught to give themselves the illusion of achievement. The avoids are never encouraging nor supportive and are always very needy, disruptive, and corrupt people. It sounds very harsh to describe them this way, but the end result of having them around you and influencing your life is even more harsh, not to them, but to you. They accomplish their tasks by spending a lot of time collecting information on you so they can develop a plan of attack to get you under their spell and influence. How exactly do the avoids work? Let's visualize this. You have mastered the three keys and they're firing on all cylinders going 100 miles per hour, and now the three have merged at a point and created one highly focused laser beam on a pathway to your goal. But if the avoids are still within your inner circle influencing your life, they will stand right in the middle of that pathway and deflect that laser beam with their shield up, down, back, towards you to blind you in every which way except where it should go, which is towards your goal. In the process, they create havoc, chaos, stupidity, madness, disorder, failure, and they're kicking your ass mentally. When you remove the avoids from your life and your inner circle, they won't stand between you and your goals. The laser beam will have a clear and unobstructed pathway towards the target, which in turn is your goal. So now we know how to identify them based on their characteristics. But what do you do if one of the avoids is a friend of yours? What if one of them is your coworker? What do you do? What if one of them is your family member? What do you do? What if one of them is your spouse, husband or wife, boyfriend or girlfriend, however you want to refer to your significant other? What do you do? Now I can't tell you what to do here. It's a very deep and personal decision you will have to make that can be very painful as it was for me to seed all ties with them. I can only repeat what I said before. You will never be successful and wealthy if you have any of the avoids in your inner circle interacting with and influencing your life. I made this difficult decision. I had to cut ties with two of my very closest friends. One was a virus and a classic one at that. Everything he touched or tried to accomplish was infected and ruined and everyone around him was destroyed mentally. The other friend was a true vampire, miserable and never positive, he was always ready to criticize everything and everyone around him. He was a failed artist that never achieved the fame and riches he felt he deserved, and he was very angry at the world. One was at my wedding and both were at my mother's funeral. They both still call me on the phone every once in a while, and we talked for a few minutes. I wish them well, I don't wish bad on anyone, but I had to do it. I had to remove them from my life, and the results were amazing. A virus, a vampire, and an anchor, collectively known as the Avoids, all have different identifiers, and even though they attack in different ways and have different vicious characteristics, they infect with there's several things they all have in common. They're time wasters. Because either you believe that you can change their wicked ways or you fall into their spell, years will have passed before you realize what they've done to you and the damage is now too deep. They corrupt your focus. Your vision will be cloudy for sure and foggy at best, and you won't be able to see the path ahead of you and won't know which way you need to go with your life. They destroy you mentally, they make you believe that it's always your fault, and they will instill doubt about yourself and everything you do in every way possible. You'll never know which version of them you're dealing with. One day they're the happiest and most loving person towards you, the next day they wake up with their switch flipped the wrong way and they're absolutely vicious and vile towards you for no apparent reason as to what you did to them. They're difficult to please. Because of that, you'll have to constantly prove yourself to them without end. When something goes wrong for you or you're in a crisis, they're the first ones in line to tell you how nicely you failed. But when something goes right for you, they're never there to celebrate with you. Years will pass before you realize what they did to you because your vision will be so darkened that you won't be able to see clearly, and you'll feel as if you can't accomplish anything because they're masters at their craft, and they'll infect and damage you so skillfully that you won't know what hit you. Do you recognize anyone yet? We all have at least one in our lives that's trying to wrap us around their finger. Lying, cheating, and hurting is all they seem to do. I can't say this enough. This is why you have to identify them first and remove them from your life. You'll be able to think clearly and the vision for your future will be unobstructed. The most frustrating thing about the avoids is that they don't see themselves as causing harm. They see what they do as a survival tactic and necessary and they will never admit to the harm and chaos that they inflict. They're also very suspicious people that believe the world is out to get them, and therefore must always be on the offensive attack mode. The irony is that if you were to tell any of the avoids in your life to listen to this episode and point out step by step why it's about them, they won't ever own their poison. They'll act as though the poison is yours by projecting onto you the cause of everything that went wrong. Some of the people in your life can never be pleased, and some won't be good for you. And that absolutely doesn't have anything to do with you. Removal of the avoids from your life needs to be at the highest priority because understanding the intelligent, focused, and connected keys is just not enough. Mastering those three keys must go hand in hand with the eradication of the avoids from your life in order for you to begin your path to achievement and prosperity. In the next episode, I'll talk to you about the 1%ers and who they are and what they are and why it's so important to align yourself to them. You must have a high trustability factor to remain in their sphere of influence. Understanding this is crucial so that you can get yourself connected to them and entrenched into their inner circle.
